Thank you for your comments and prayers, Brian! When we refer to “mass shootings” we are looking at incidents where 4 or more people are shot (at the same location). And indeed this occurs almost every day in our country. But the purpose of our group here is just to pray for the survivors, the moms and dads and children who are left behind, and not to debate policy.

I am against ALL this violence throughout our great nation! The “gun” is only the tool that draws so much attention. The real issue is much deeper than the “tool” and that will be the focus of our prayers. This is a heart issue that is the natural result of turning our backs on God. What we need more than anything else is to turn towards Him and humbly fall on our face in repentance and seek reconciliation, especially since that is what we as Christians are called to do!
I do not believe the statement “One mass shooting occurs almost every single day in America.” That is a very ambiguous statement! What is considered a “mass shooting”? I guess the “out” is the little word “almost”! More liberal anti-gun rhetoric!
None of the commandments of Jesus can be kept without a change of heart which is why He came! He said the greatest of all the “law” was to Love the Lord with your entire being and the second was very similar, love your neighbor as yourself. If we got back to that directive, violence would be done!
